Hi you all!
Having too much athritic pain below both my thumbs which also has some visible inflamation and was wondering if any one of you know of any general homeopathic treatments that would ease this pain somewhat and reduce the inflamation? Most appreciated for a quick response.
Thanks.

I don't know anything about homeopathy, but if you want to try some herbs, I will suggest some. The first is Turmeric satandardized to 95% Curcumin. Need to take enough in divided doses to get 1200 milligrams of curcumin per day. If you have gall bladder problems, you should not take this. You should start up slowly by taking one capsule per day for a week and then go to tow per day for a week and so on until you are taking 1200 milligram of Curcumin per day. Second is Feverfew. This is best known as a migraine treatment but also is an anti-inflammatory good for treating arthritis. Take as directed on the label. It may take several weeks to become affective. The third one is Devil's Claw. I have never tried it, but it was highly recommended to me.

If you have not been diagnosed by a doctor, you should be. I work with computers and have some carpal tunnel syndrome. One of the first places that showed up one me was pain in my thumbs. I would recommend highly that you get evaluated for carpal tunnel.

Good luck!

Thank you so much for the wonder advice. The pain in base of my thumbs has not been diagonised as arthritis and as such I was looking for 'pain relief' with homeopathy. I felt this being new pain, it was more or less acute rather than chronic. Anyway, I will try the anti inflamatory remedies from the last post and speak to my doc about carpel tunnel, which is very likely as I do work on the computer (who does'nt these days!) a lot and am a fast typist which probably does not help my condition.
Many thanks for your responses.
