Are they both about the same as far as the healing part goes.

Yes they both work basically the same way by shutting down alot of your acid production. However, they don't work the same for everyone. One person may not do well with prilosec and do good on nexium. Sometimes you have to switch around until you find one that works.

I took Nexium for about a year and it worked great, but Tried Prilosec and it worked much better for me..
