View Full Version : Swollen Glands in 4 year old

My 4 and a half year old had her tonsils and adnoids removed in the beginning of October as she had huge tonsils that used to stop her breathing. She has been to the Doctor so many times since then and I keep getting told she has swollen glands but everything else seems ok. Well she keeps complaining about being sore on one particular side of her neck and says it is not always sore only occasionally and she is also sore at the bottom of her throat just under her adams apple, the bit that goes in, I can't remember what it is called :bouncing:
Any one have any ideas. She had the flu a few weeks ago and has a bit of a cough occasionally and a bit of a runny nose but nothing major and she seems to be very happy and full of energy.... the thing that bugs me is she has had swollen glands every time I have taken her to the Doc for the past 3-4 months.... Can anyone give me any ideas.!!

I'm sorry I don't have any ideas for you, but my 4 year old son is going to have his tonsils and adenoids out b/c he can't breathe at night while he is sleeping. That scares me that we will have those kinds of problems when we get them out. I am exhausted from no sleep, but I don't want him to have more pain, either. Keep us posted on this!
