Try Valerian root extract.

Can it be taken in tea form? I see Celestial Seasonings has a tea with Valerian. Thanks...

Yes, but, when your treating a problem, you want to attack the problem not milk it (prolong it). Get a bottle of Valerian root extract and a bottle of Valerian root capsules from your health food store. Please not the cheap stuff from wal-mart or like.
Use the capsules as directed on the bottle,
usually 1 or 2 capsules 2 times a day. Use the extract during the day when times are bad. Put the drops on or under your tonge, and hold it ther as long as you can before you swallow it. This will allow it to get into your blood stream faster and you'll feel it working sooner. Stay away from the caffeine for a least 30 minutes before and after using the extract (same for the capsules). They work in opposite directions and the caffeine will weaken the Valerian.
Good Luck!
