rainbowlight 04-18-2001, 03:39 AM I am looking for suggestions for anxiety. This anxiety is chemical in nature so excercise/meditation/etc. does not help. Thanks. Harry 04-18-2001, 10:56 AM Hi, My wife uses a homeopathic remedy --"Calms Forte" --She thinks it's great. You can buy it at most health food stores. God Bless---Harry barewinds 04-19-2001, 12:34 AM While having an anxiety attack, trying how to get through it can be tuff. Depending on where I am while having an attack makes all the difference in the world. If I'm in traffic and could cause harm to myself or others while in a panic attack, I reach for one of two Nature's Sunshine Product's which I carry in a first aid box in my truck. Both are held in the mouth for a few seconds to allow for absorption into the blood stream faster. One is an herbal combination which is called Combination Val, which contains Valerian root and 5 other herbs, unfortunately the company is going to discontinue this product by the end of the year for some stupid reason. The other is called Nervousness and it's a homeopathic product, which will also give calmness in a very short time period. If your not in a harmful place, try concentrating on your breathing to calm yourself down, it's a little hard to concentrate on your breathing while concentrating driving. Listen to your breathing and center on slowing it down, it works! Jav1492 04-20-2001, 09:52 AM I have tried tea with Kava and Valerian Root which helps quite a bit. Celestial Seasonings makes a good one that doesn't cost a fortune...it is called Tension Tamer Extra. Good Luck. Jav Harry 04-20-2001, 11:12 AM Hi, I don't know if you have ever heard of the Bach Flower Remedies. I have used one of the remedies but not for anxiety but I read where it is commonly used for anxiety. The remedy is called "The Rescue Remedy".It may be worth a try!! Take Care---Harry lee-ann 04-21-2001, 05:36 PM kava kava is really excellent and has helped me a lot!!!!! Goodluck |
