Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help answer a few questions for me...
I recently (2 weeks ago) had a bout with food poisoning. I suspect it was salmonella. Everything was fine til about 3 days ago when I started feeling a bit ill again. I've been pretty safe with what I've eaten lately as well. Anyhow, I got the same nasty taste in my throat that I had when I came down with the initial illness. My appetite has decreased a bit and seems everything I eat doesn't digest properly.
Could it be possible that whatever is in my system hasn't cleared out? What's the best way to get rid of it (assuming it's still there)? I just hate feeling not 100%.
Any advice would be greatly appreciate! Thanks.

The best way I have found to deal with food poisoning is to eat a yogurt -- Stonyfield Farm-- It is the only yogurt in the US that contains Lactobacillus reuteri, take a probiotic supplement Primadophilus---Reuteri twice daily.
A very good homeopathic remedy is ---Arsenicum Album that you can buy at most health food stores. Just take it like is says on the container.
This works for my family!!

Thanks Harry. I have started eating yogurt after hearing yours and a few other people's opinions. I will try getting some supplements as well. So it is possible for food poisoning to re-surface after the initial 'storm'?

Hi HH,
Hear are some of my thoughts about our defense system. Germs, bacteria as well as virises can lay dormant in your body for a long time if your immune system is heatlhy and strong to keep them in check. But if your immune system is weakened for any reason then the bacteria begins to multiply and cause an illness. The illness remains--- then your system immune recognizes the invader and fights off the microorganism and that sort of enables the healing process to take place.
A good example is H.pylori bacteria that causes 85% of ulcers is present in the mucus of more than 50% of the USA people but does not cause ulcers except in a small percentage??
The immune system is the KEY to fighting off all insults to our bodies. This is from small cuts or knicks to viruses as well as food poisoning. It is also thought that aging is closely related to a well functioning immune system rather than the passing of time.
I am a strong believer in YOU should know how the immune systems functions and the role it plays in your health and take steps to make your immune system strong so that you are not are not hit with infections, inflammations and illneses as hard. If you do have food poisoning it will only be minor --- as well as other assualts on the body like the flu, colds, etc.
Take care---Harry
