My GP has switched me from 62.5 mcg of Levexol (on for five months) to 1 gr of Armour. Has anyone made the switch from a t-4 only to armour? Were there any side effects, and how long before I will notice a difference? The doctor says probably four to six weeks, just like the levoxyl. Incidently, I requested this switch after reading countless articles on t-4 only or t-3/t-4 combinations. The levoxyl was helping with some symptoms, but like I told my doctor, I feel like I am on a mile-long walk and have gotten about 3/4 of the way there on levoxyl. The lethargy has improved significantly, but I just can't get past the cold skin and intolerance to cold.

I've made the switch from Synthroid to Armour. I'd say 2-4 weeks to notice. With all of this stuff the change is usually so gradually it's like you wake up one day and say, hey, I haven't had a really bad day in a while. I didn't notice any side affects. For me, I just felt better.
