I am afraid there is something wrong with my bowels. A few months ago I started noticing I have been having dark green stools on and off. It doesn't really seem to be from something I ate. I will have the dark green for a few days then it will be normal color again. Well a few weeks ago I started to not be able to go really at all. I have been taking laxatives and they don't do anything. Sometimes I am able to push hard and get a little bit out, and when I have it's been that green color again. It seems like my bowels are weak. When I use a suppository I am able to go a bit but then I suddenly stop and get this heavy pain in my stomach and can't go anymore. Right now I feel bloated, uncomfortable, fat. I am kind of worried about a serious problem and that I will need something like a colostomy bag.. wondering if someone can give me advice or ease my fears a bit.

You may want to go the Dr. You could possibly have a bowel obstuction. Im not saying u do, Im saying you COULD have one and that could be dangerous..

I forgot to say that I believe you only need a colostomy bag if u dont have a certain amout of intestine.( I Think! ) I have an Aunt who has Chrons Disease and she has a colostomy bag because the Chrons has destroyed so much of her intestines.

what could that obstruction be? I keep going a little bit every day or two so I think it is moving through.. I think.

edit: I was just able to go a fair amount. It was diahhrea (from what I ate I think). But then I stopped and got that sharp pain again and couldn't go anymore. The stool looked normal though. God I am worried. Could this all be just constipation? I am having no other symptoms really.. no pain or stomach aches, just that pain when I try to push some out.

+The best way for me to describe a bowel obstruction is this: You know when you were a kid and you would play with the water hose outside and of course we would twist it to restrict the water flow? That is just like a bowel obstruction. Something in your intestines is restricting u from going to the restroom. But from what u say I am pretty sure that is not what u have. If u did you literally be throwing up waste!!! (This has happened to me before I know that for a fact!) If you have not lost any significant amount of weight and feel fine my suggestion to u is to drink more water and add more fiber to your diet. You will feel so much better.
