Hi Charlene, before giving ANY practitioner money (and I say this AS a practitioner), check out their training/credentials, and get personal testimonies, if possible.

$250 may, or may not be a fair fee. It depends on what you're getting for it. I don't understand what you mean by drinking 4 gallons to lose weight. Drinking 4 gallons of what? Herb teas or formulas? If that's what you meant, I'd look elsewhere for help. He should be able to provide you with a written step-by-step game plan if you ask for it.

just an opinion

hi, i have been going to the accuputure man for a couple of weeks. he has me on this tea, although it seems like he keeps putting off what is in it. my husband says it smells like burnt rubber. i have been drinking it for about 1 week now. it does curb my food carvings i have lost about 8 pounds. i am schduled to see an endcrolgist on tues. they say something is high in my system i told my accuputure guy they want to know what this tea is and he forgot to write it up again.he does have 20 years experince and is board certified by my insurance for both accuputure and herbolgist. but after today i am questioning him i have not gotten sick off the tea. but my son hurt his elbow playing baseball, he said he could help my son. i hope it is nothing to be concerned about but when he put the pins in, my sons pants where pretty tight and he inserted the pin threw his pants. i guess i'm stupid for not questioning it. but now i wonder how sterile that can be. i appreciate all your help, copper. and value your opinion. thank you, charlene mathews

I would question the needles going through the clothes. My Acupuncturist has me strip,
then does a total body treatment with more then 120 needles per side (front and back).

The main problem with the doctor listing the herbs that are in his homemade tea, is the fact that their chinese herbs. Also he may fear, that if he list his herbs, you may make the tea yourself, causing him to lose money.
American doctors have enough problems understanding the herbs sold in this country, they would really be lost trying to figure out chinese herbs. And most likely tell you not to use them.
