I've been experiencing sharp pain on the right frontal side of my head for over a year now. The pain is accompanied by the sensation of warm water being poured over that particular spot. The frequency of occurence ranged anywhere from once every couple of weeks to multiple times a week. They have gradually become less frequent until the last month. These same headaches are now accompanied with pressure on the top rightside of my head, unbalanced feeling, and mild body tremors. Last week I made a trip to the hospital because of the symptoms became more severe and sent me into a state of confusion and panic. At the hospital I recieved a cat scan which produced a normal result. No blood or urine was taken because I had tests run a week prior from my personal doctor that came back as normal results as well. I was released from the emergency room with a normal cat scan, pills for vertigo, and the advice to see my primary care physician in 3 to 5 days if the symptoms persisted. Well, I'll be making a trip to my physicians office to see what other tests need to be done such as an MRi or other. I'm posting this thread in hopes of recieving any similar experiences, opinions, suggestions, or info. Thanks in advance for any replies.
By the way here is some previous history:
Three years ago I was diagnosed with anxiety/panic attacks. I was prescribed Celexa, which I took for three months. During the treatment my panic attacks virtually disappeared. I don't recall whether or not I came off the treatment gradually or cold turkey. I did have somewhat similar headaches after I stopped the treatment for approxiamately 1 month. After that time the headaches ceased as well as the attacks. After being off the medication for about a year I started experiencing the headaches as described above. I sought medical attention and doctor prescribed medication for muscle tension headache, which never cured the problem. No real tests were done to find what stemmed these headaches, it was ither dismissed as a muscle tension headache or anxiety.
Thanks again
