Hi. I have a vein under my eye, just above my cheek that has become more and more visible over the past 6 months. Does any body know what causes this, and is there anything that can be done to stop or reverse the process? I had started using moisturizer about a year ago on my face. Is it possible the moisturizer has thinned my skin around the eyes making it slightly translucent?
Thanks for any help.

I have been noticing the same thing on my own face lately. From a distance it kind of looks like there is blue pen smudged under my eye. It's nothing REALLY bad, but just kind of grosses me out if i really focus on it. I'm not a very pale person so i'm kind of surprised that something like this would happen... i doubt it's from any lotion though, because I don't use any. If you should figure out how to get rid of it... please let me know :)

Skin under your eye is very thin and translucent, so it is normal to see veins there. As for veins looking darker, did you use anything with cortizone in it on your face? That has been known to thin skin out and shouldn't be used on your face (unless your doctor prescribes it.)
