Hi,
I know the typical kidney stone pain is usually felt in the flank area, but is this always true? I found out I had a 1/2 cm stone in my right kidney by accident when I had a CT scan. This was in June. Since then, I have had occasional dull pain in my flank area that comes and goes. I haven't had any pain in awhile, but tonight I have been having a lot of pain very low in my abdomen right in the center(I guess in my bladder area). I'm assuming this might be from my kidney stone, but I'm not sure. It isn't severe pain, but it seems to be getting worse slowly. Does this mean the stone is possibly getting ready to pass?
Thanks in advance for any replys~

Yes...it could be that the stone is getting ready to pass. You can have pain in the flank, you can have lower abdominal pain...males can have pain referred to the scrotum, and women to the labia. These things are all possible.
