I just started using the camellia oil but I have to use retin-A to help with acne. What I have been doing is after washing my face I use the oil and let it soak in and then apply the retin A later. Does anyone know how to use both? I thought about using the retin A first but you have to wait 20 minutes after washing your face so the oil won't be absorbed as well if I wait until my face is dry. I do know they tell you to apply oil or any moisturizer right after washing your face so it can be absorbed much better. I'm just not sure how or when to use the retin-A. For anyone that is afraid the camellia oil will break you out ,it doesn't. My face hasn't felt so soft as it does now since I started using the oil. Thanks to healthboards I wouldn't know about the oil. Thanks to whoever let us know about it. I'm sure you are shocked by all the responses you received. Thank You!

I think the way you are doing it now should be fine. But I wouldn't put the oil over any active acne - just Retin A there. And I think you wouldn't use Retin A all over your face either, just where it is necessary, right? If so, then there's no conflict in using both together. Also, if there's any dryness or irritation caused by Retin A, I would put the camellia oil there to soothe and heal it.

Thanks for responding. I started to think no one knew about the two. I will use your advice, thanks. It's always nice to hear that second opinion. Happy Holidays!
