I visited the doctor a long time ago about having this excrutiating pain in my stomach, it feels as if its eating itself, I don't really know how to explain it but it seems just that. So he said I had acid reflux disease and prescribed me Axid. It worked perfectly, I used up the whole bag of boxes. I thought it was gone forever until recently, it came back, where it feels like its eating my insides. So i decided to look up Acid Reflux Disease, all articles I found on it all said something about having heartburn, but I dont have heartburn. What could this be? I can't sleep at night because of this. At times I am tempted to literately rip my stomach out. Any help? The soonest I could get to see my doctor is in 3 days, so any help as to what I could do till then would be nice.

I have acid reflux, and im not quite sure the difference of "Heartburn" and acid reflux, but I was on nexium and it worked beautifully, but I recently tried Prilosec and it is workind and controlling my symptoms.. It will probably take 2 days to kick in, but this will probably control it.. its worth a try, u can buy it now without a prescription

I had those symptoms and was diagnosed with H Pylori and an ulcer. If the pain is that bad you may have an ulcer. I would suggest you ask your GI to do an endoscopy so he can see whats going on and take biopsies for HP and ulcers.
You can have GERD and reflux without having typical heartburn. Sometimes the acid doesn't wash up far enough for you to feel it in your throat.
In the meantime stay away from coffee, tea, chocolate, citrus fruit and any other acidic food. Drink lots of water to wash away acid in your stomach and try OTC products like Pepcid or Gaviscon, especially before bedtime.

I also went to my doc yesterday and, he prescribed me Losec for mu acid, i must take two per/day 20mg..I have been having burning feeling since October but, not as strong followed by diarreha..sorry for the spelling. Well for the acid, it is gone with the losec..but I'v lost some weight also..can this be due to the acid???

I got a sneak in with the doctor today, he evaluated my history with stomach problems as well as my throat problems. He prescribed me 6 months of Axid and to visit a ENT.

As for the weight thing Losec, im starting to lose weight as well, I figured it was the rollerblading and the lack of me taking in acidic drinks like OJ and soda. But it could be the free samples my doctor gave me 2 weeks ago.
