In this past year I have undergone an extensive dental program, which includes periodontal work (for gingivitis), tooth removal, a crown and two root canals. I made a bad decision ten years ago by giving up my twice-yearly dental appointments for cleaning and evaluation…and I paid dearly for it! Anyway, after spending a lot of money and time in dental chairs my dental problems are finally behind me. My gums are healthy and both my dentist and periodontist praise me when I visit them on a rotating quarterly basis for follow-up visits. In fact yesterday I had an appointment with my periodontist for my regular three-month cleaning and evaluation, which brings me to the topic of my post.
The dental hygienist that cleaned my teeth was a lady in her forties. She had the most beautiful white teeth. Since dentistry was her profession I felt it was okay that I ask her how she got her teeth so white. Her answer was “ear drops”! Ear drops I said… Yes, ear drops!
She told me that the “professional strength” teeth whitening kits use Carbamide Peroxide to whiten teeth and that the store-bought whitening kits mainly use hydrogen peroxide to achieve the whitening affect. Carbamide peroxide is stronger and whitens the teeth faster than the strips do. I’ve learned that most of the professional strength kits use a 10%, 16% or 22% carbamide peroxide gel. She went on to tell me that Auro Ear Drops, which is found in most drug stores, uses 6 ½% carbamide peroxide and is available for about $5.00 for a .75 fluid ounce tube. She said this is what she used to whiten her teeth! Even though the percentage of carbamide peroxide is slightly lower than the 10% concentration normally used, it is still carbamide peroxide and works great to whiten teeth.
I asked her how it tastes and she said it really has very little taste to it and is very easy to use. She said that she didn’t even use the teeth cups (mouth pieces) found in the regular teeth whitening kits but instead just applied a little bit to the upper and lower front teeth and held it in her mouth for as long as she could, which was about fifteen or 20 minutes in most cases. She said that after a while the saliva buildup was the only reason spitting it out. And after spitting it out she said there was really no need to remove the remaining from her mouth because there was no bad taste or anything…in fact she said her mouth felt very clean after using it.
They way she used it was to spread it on her teeth five or six times a day whenever she had the time and swish it around toward the latter stages before spitting it out. She said her teeth started getting visibly whiter after using it just a few times the first day and continued to get whiter and whiter over the next week or so.
I haven’t tried this myself but I probably will because I know my teeth are stained and even the professional cleaning I get every three months doesn’t do much for stained dental enamel. I’m wondering if anyone else has tried this. Like she said, carbamide peroxide is carbamide peroxide! And she’s proof that it works great…

What else is in the eye drops though? That is my concern? Something that may not be safe putting on the teeth or even in the mouth. I've heard that carbamide peroxide has to be 16% to acheive whiteness. And how can you hold saliva in your mouth for 15-20 minutes? I have to spit in a few seconds....and if she is holding that in her mouth that long.....the eye drops are just mixing with the saliva.

Just a little correction....Koot said the dentist used "ear" drops........not "eye" drops. I agree though, who could hold any form of liquid in their mouth for 15-20 mins, no matter how good it taste. Very intersting though!!

Yes, it is ear drops, not eye drops.
I bought some and tried it myself. It really doesn't have much of a taste at all and I didn't have a problem leaving it in my mouth for 15 minutes. The consistency of the drops is slightly thick, much like a cooking oil.
When I first applied the thickish drops to my upper and lower front teeth it gave me a slight sensitiviity sensation, like cool water hitting my teeth. Then it began to fizzle just a little. I was able to just leave the drops, for the most part, where I originally applied it on my teeth but after a few minutes the my saliva buildup mixed with the drops...and I just held it around the front part of my mouth as if I was puckering my mouth. Toward the latter stages I swished it around for the remaining few minutes I held it in my mouth. There is no doubt that the spaces between the teeth will get whitened as well as all the teeth in your mouth...unlike when using the strips as I have been told. The drops actually leaves your mouth with a fresh feeling and taste.
I'll continue to use it and let you know what results I see. It will be interesting...especially since the tip [to use this product containing carbamide peroxide] came from a dental professional who used it successfully herself.
PS - I was told that the other vehicle (Anhydrous Glycerin) in the product, along with the 6 1/2% carbamide peroxide, was nothing that I should be concerned about putting in my mouth and that it was basically an inert agent that would cause no harm whatsoever.

You people need to try this! It works great!!!
I had a crown put on about six months ago and chose a color that was two to three shades whiter than my other teeth because I had plans to eventually have my dentist professionally whiten my teeth. The dentist suggested that he could whiten my teeth to match the whiter crown so that is why I chose the whiter crown...and the crown is not seen when I smile since it's a molar. Well, let me tell you...
The Carbamide Peroxide ear drops really work...just like the dental hygienist said it would...and was proven by the looks of her teeth. My capped molar, which "was" two or three shades whiter than my other teeth is now at least two shades darker! The color of my cap has turned out to be a great reference color to determine what the Carbamide Peroxide is really doing. Amazing!!!

In my last post I meant to tell how many times I have applied the drops on my teeth. I'm guessing I've done it 16 to 20 times...keeping it in my mouth for anywhere from 15 minutes down to only five minutes. A few times I had to answer a phone call, etc.
This morning I put some on my teeth and drove to work, which takes about 15 minutes...spitting it out into a trash can in the parking garage when I arrived. What's nice about it is you don't even need a mirror or to teeth cups...and it whitens all your (natural) teeth. And for only $5!!! By the way, the .75 fluid ounce tube must have enough in it for probably 50 to 100 "treatments"...

I'm going to try it even though I have Opalessence. I do have the teeth trays which were made by the dentist's lab. My question is - have you had any sensitivity issues?

When I first apply the drops to my front teeth I sense a slight amount of sensitivity sensation but nothing that causes me to consider it painful at all. My teeth are moderately sensitive to cold (drinks, etc.) and the drops are nowhere near anything like that.

:D Wow...this sounds great! I will definitely have to try this. I purchased a (professional) bleaching kit from my dentist's office about three years ago, and had the custom-made upper and lower plastic mouthpieces made. Instead of buying more gel tubes for $75.00, I'll try the ear drops instead, and I'll just use the mouthpiece(s) so that my saliva doesn't dilute the drops. I have to go to the drugstore tomorrow anyway, so I'll see if I can find the ear drops, and I'll let ya'll know if I see results. Thanks so much for letting us all know about this!

I used this once this morning for 45 minutes with my tray. The amount of whitening is equal to wearing my tray with Opalessence overnight! And, so far I have no sensitivity. I am going to do this again for 15 minutes later today and will check in again. It doesn't taste any different than the whitening gel either.

I'm glad you're seeing the same whitening results that I have. From what I've read the stronger 10%, 16% and 22% carbamide peroxide that is used in the professional kits is what gives most people a problem with the sensitivity issue. I like the fact that the ear drops only have 6 1/2% carbamide peroxide. It may take a little longer to reach teh desired whitening results but without the painful sensitivity issue. And all for only $5!
Keep us informed on the continued results...

I also have a tray from my denists for professional whitening and I want to try this. Did you just pour the drops into your tray? Isn't it too liquidy for the trays? Or does it stick to the right places on the tray??

It is very liquidy. I don't know how you can keep it on your teeth without a tray! Just don't put too much in the tray. It will fizz up all over your teeth.
Koot

Yes, it is rather liquidy yet I have no problem holding it in my mouth for up to 15 to 20 minutes. I just lock my throat and pooch out my lips and I'm okay.
Even if you are unable to hold it for 15 mintues the drops are so inexpensive that you can use new drops as often as you want. Only $5 for that large tube goes a long way...
Good luck!

No! The Auro "Dri" contains Isopropyl Alcohol (95%), Anhydrous Glycerin (5%), which is used to aid drying ears after swimming, etc.
You need to look for the Auro Ear Drops (available in two sizes: .50 or .75 fluid ounce tube) containing Carbamide Peroxide (6.5%) with inactive Ingredients containing Anhydrous Glycerin

If you cannot find Auro Ear Drops, which contains the Carbamide Peroxide, you may want to check the following ear wax removal products to see if they contain Carbamide Peroxide:
Debrox Ear Wax Removal 6.5% Drops (Manufacturer: Smithkline Beecham)
Ear Wax Treatment Drops 6.5% (Manufacturer: Watson)
Murine Ear Wax Kit 6.5% Drops (Manufacturer: Bausch & Lomb)
I assume that the above noted products also contain 6 1/2% Carbamide Peroxide because of the way they have "6.5%" listed as part of their product listing...

Ok, I had to go out and get some this stuff to see for myself! :bouncing: The first time I tried it, I could not keep from swallowing too much, and keeping my lips away from my teeth was near impossible. But, I had a brainstorm idea! I am doing this as I type, as a matter of fact. lol Anyways, what I did was kinda stretch out and roll up a cotton ball, and tuck it under my lips, and low and behold, it keeps my lips away from my teeth, and I don't have to worry about not swallowing this stuff as often. This will help me keep it on longer during each application, too. Now, right now, the only other one home is my 2 year old, and she just looked at me funny. But, I think when I do this when the rest of the family is home, I will put it on before I get into the bathtub, and let it sit while I bath. (That way, the rest of the family won't think I'm crazy!)
If anyone else tries this cotton ball idea, let me know what you think. It's a LOT cheaper than a dental tray! lol

Well, I'd consider the "outcome" of all the dental practices, and users of the "professional" systems that are offered and used through them...because after all.... it is just 6.5% instead of 16 or 22%.
All you have to do is call your local dentist office, ask about their teeth whitening products containing carbomide peroxide......ask how long they've been promoting the product....ask about results.....(but they probably won't tell you about the serious sensitivity some people can develop using the stronger ones.)
then just consider that........at less strength. ;)

This is very interesting and something I would like to try, but my question is - does it affect the enamel on your teeth? And do your teeth go back to their 'old' color once you stop using any of these whiteners?
Now, I was all gung-ho on this....until I read a couple of these posts and realized it wouldn't whiten crowns, of which I have two of right next to each other on the upper left side, and they are seen when I laugh. Hmmm. Any suggestions?

Carbamide Peroxide is what many of the professional whiteners use except in stronger percentages so the ear drops will do just what the professional whiteners do except it will take a little longer. The advantage is actually two-fold. Since the percentage of Carbamide Peroxide is lower you'll be less likely to experience sensitivity problems...and the price for the ear drops is only about $5.
As far as your permanent teeth returning to their present [unwhitened] color, that's determined by your cleaning habits and what you eat and drink...and if you are a smoker or not. Once you achieve the desired whitening you want, or the maximum your teeth will whiten, you will stop using a whitener on your teeth. Anytime you desire, you can begin the whitening process again. It's been determined that using teeth whitening does not damage the tooth enamel and there is no negatives in using such products.
Your crowns were chosen to match your permanent teeth's color, which may have darkened (along with your other teeth) since they were mounted. The use of a whitener may lighten the crowns slightly but not like the enamel on your permanent teeth. Your choice is to whiten your teeth a shade or two in hopes that the crowns aren't [noticeably] a different shade. Or if you find that you like what the continued whitening process does for your teeth, you may want to replace your existing crowns with whiter crowns...though that's quite expensive as you know.

I have used a few of the whiteners and what happened to me is.....when I take off the stuff and rinse...it's a little whiter and I know this cuz I have a tiny enamel filling on my front tooth...and that is never white so I compare it to that but the whiteness goes away in like a few minutes!! Why is that?

Great suggestions! I'm using the cotton balls and applying it with the brush from my used up Colgate whitener. I leave it on for 10-15 minutes and when I'm done I brush my teeth - no toothpaste, so all the lather is the peroxide stuff. I've only done it twice but I already see a slight difference.

Thanks for the great tip, I've been using the Crest White Strips and they are rather disgusting. I'm just curious, if you leave this stuff in your mouth for 20 minutes, does it do anything to your gums and tongue. Or as I'm typing this, I guess the other whitening products get on your tongue and gums too, so maybe this is a stupid question.
I think I will try the cotton ball idea though. And as was asked in a previous post if your teeth lose their whiteness. If you drink coffee, coke or red wine, this also causes your teeth to stain. So I would assume you will always have to follow up with a whitening product every few months or so depending on your particular habits.

I haven't experienced any problems whatsoever using the drops. There is a slight sensitivity sensation when the drops first touch the teeth but that may simply be due to a slight temperature difference between the drops and my teeth because the sensation goes away within a few seconds.
Obviously, over time, the teeth will become stained again from normal eating and drinking habits. This will be true regardless of what method is used to whiten the teeth. Probably after six months to a year a quick "touch-up" may be needed to bring the teeth back to their maximum whiteness.

I took a picture of myself on December 16th before starting the whitening process so I could see if their was any difference. I took another picture today, December 29th. Both pictures were taken at the same time (at night), in the same room, in the same position, from the same distance, with the same light source, using the same camera, with the same "programmed" camera settings. I cropped both pictures so just my mouth (teeth) shows in the pictures and created a temporary website so you can see them.

this is really pretty cool... (this is the first time I had seen this post.. on the other post it didn't mention this was something your hygenist had suggested... so I just assumed being OTC it was hydrogen peroxide.. sorry about that) I think I'll try it..
my only concern is.. does it whiten evenly? no white spots or streaks? everytime I've whitened mine with something I get this one spot on one of my front teeth that whitens much faster than the rest of my teeth.. it's really annoying

Koot - OMG. That's amazing. I had similar results. As I said in an earlier post, I simply brush it on my teeth with a soft toothbrush for a minute or two and rinse. I have also tried applying with a Qtip but I like the toothbrush method better. I have never left it on for more than a few minutes and it works.

You're welcome! It really did make a huge difference in the color of my teeth...and just before I started using the drops I had me teeth cleaned at the dentist, which is where I learned about this.
I hope you have as much success whitening your teeth as I have. I have to admit that I've used the drops alot (religously every day) beginning the day I first started.
Good luck!

I read this entire thread! Now I'm convinced. Thank you for starting this Koot. I've been bleaching for a couple of years, using the same product, it's time for a change. And to find a product that is so much less expensive is a huge bonus! ..............I just got back from Rite Aid with ear wax remover in hand. I returned an unopened tube of the product I was using, so not only did I get a better product, but I got change back! Thanks again Koot!

I am using Georges teeth whitener and everytime I use it...they get whiter and I know this because there is a little white spot on my front tooth...but like 5 minutes later...the whiteness disappears! And the next day...they seem yellow again. What's going on here?

HealthBoards.com won't allow me to post the link. They removed it because links are not allowed...therefore I must abide by the rules. Maybe some of the others here that saw the pictures of my teeth will share their thoughts.
My teeth are a number of shades whiter and remain that way. I have not experienced any color change backwards.

Hey Koot, just a quick question. When you say you just tilt your head back does it get between your spaces of your teeth or is it that runny that it just drips in between? I told my daughter about it that just got some whitener from her dentist but it was too senstive for her teeth and couldn't use it and when I told her about the auro ear drops she was going to buy some as soon as she went to the store.I am so glad you shared this with us.I haven't made it to the store yet but I know it'll be the first thing that hits my cart. How long did it take you to notice your teeth getting whitener? I am so excited you told us about it. I thank you so much for sharing this. Now every store will be out of it,thinking we all have earaches.

Oh, sorry! Try not to swallow any more than possible. The carbamide peroxide in the drops is the same thing that other whitners use. Also, many people brush their teeth with hydrogen peroxide and swallow a slight amount with no problems. Of course you don't want to swallow any more than necessary. I just close (lock) the back of my throat.

Hi Koots! I read your post towards the end of December. I bought my Auro Ear wax remover. I really can not believe how well it works! What I do is apply two to three drops to my finger, then rub the drops on to my upper teeth. Then I repeat the process on my lower teeth. I am really only to keep it on for about five to ten minutes due to my being tired of keeping my mouth closed. LOL But the results are amazing! I tried the Crest teeth whitening strips. Those did NOT work for me! I am a diet coke and coffee junky. My teeth are still whiter! I really thank you for this wonderful tip! : )

Hi! I am not Koots but thought I could reply. You have to look for the Auro Ear Wax remover drops. It has the carbimide peroxide which is the same whitening element in dental whitening products, but in a lesser percentage. If you were to accidentally swallow a little, there is no harm. Now if you were to sit there and swallow the entire contents, then i would probably call poison control! LOL There is one brand of ear wax remover drops if you were to read the ingredietns, it contains a flavor. I thought that was kinda funny.

AURO makes an ear drying aid product (it's basically alcohol) that does not contain carbamide peroxide. However AURO's product to remove ear wax does have the 6 1/2% carbamide peroxide.
The OTIX product you bought, with 6 1/2% carbamide peroxide, should work just as well as the AURO drops I used.

Kayley,
I too bought the ERO ear drops at Wal*Mart since I couldn't find the AURO. I think as long as it has the 6.5% carbamide peroxide in a glycerin based gel, you're all set.
Question for all:
how many times a day do you use the drops? I usually try for 2x a day. I leave it on for approximately 5 minutes in the morning, then as long as I can at night (10 minutes tops).

Debbie, I was glad to share this tip with others, especially after trying it myself with great success.
I used the drops as many as five or six times in one day with no problem...so I don't see why you couldn't use them more often than twice a day.
Hopefully you got a chance to see the "before" and "after" pictures I took of my teeth that I put on a website page before HealthBoards removed the link. It was absolutely amazing how much difference there is. I've had many of my friends ask me if I had my teeth professionally whitened. Of course I tell them I did it myself with "ear" drops!

As I mentioned in a previous post I've used the drops five or six times a day with no problems...so I don't see why you couldn't do the same.
The product is so cheap and the tube holds so much that re-applying the drops often is not that big of a deal. When I first started using it I tried to keep in my mouth for up to fifteen minutes but later on after using it for awhile I just spit it out after five minutes or so and applied more. That little $5 tube goes a long way!
Koot
Kayley,
I too bought the ERO ear drops at Wal*Mart since I couldn't find the AURO.

I absolutely cannot wait to try this! I definitely cannot afford to get my teeth whitened at the dentist's office, and even Crest Whitestrips and Night Effects are too expensive for me at this time. I just quit smoking and my teeth really need the whitening...thanks a bunch, Koot.

If any of you who are using this treatment and getting good results... are you coffee drinkers and/or red wine drinkers?
If so... do you have to quit drinking these things?
Thanks

I live in Canada so I could not find any of the products mentioned throughout this thread, however I found a similar product (with the 6.5% carbamide peroxide) called Murine Ear Wax Removal System. It was a little more expensive than the drops mentioned...$8.49 CDN. I just used them for the first time and i can already see results, and these drops are excellent because they are much more viscous, and just "sit" on the teeth. Just thought I'd put in my two cents for any Canadians reading this who also can't find the other drops :)

I tilt my head back and let the li :D :D quid drop across and then I use my finger to just spread it around so I know it gets in between my teeth. So far, so good! I'd love to see your pictures of your teeth,is there any way I can get to your link?

Hi everyone...I've read each every post here and find this very interesting. I have used the Crest Strips and also the Colgate whitener...saw very little results. I'd like to know...those that are using a "mouth tray" with this product...are you noticing any results? Where can I get a mouth tray from other than having to spend tons at the dentists?... How often is everyone putting this on their teeth also? I'd like to know more about everyone's results too...Thanks for answering my questions...I am going to try this....just need to find a mouth tray.

I got my mouth tray from the dentist, but you can buy one of the cheapest whiteners at the drugstore and use the mouth tray that comes with it. That should work fine. I have been using the ear drops for 3 days(twice a day) but I havent noticed a difference yet because my teeth are stained from medication taken as a child. It should work fairly quickly if you just have regular stains from drinking coffee or soda. Good luck. By the way, I asked a dentist why my teeth were so hard to whiten and he said that tetracycline stains were the hardest to whiten. So I have to use whiteners for months before there will be a significant whitening effect.

Thanks Brockbabe! I've been looking, and I saw the Murine Ear wax removal system last night at shoppers - I didn't think it was the right kind! The ingredients listed (6.5% I think?)alcohol.... I didn't think there was supposed to be alcohol in it. I'm going to pick some up tonight - thanks for the tip! :D

Well after reading all the posts here...I went out and looked for the Auro Ear drops...all my store had was Auro Ear Dry...it didn't have the ingredient I was looking for...but I looked at some of the other ear drops there...and the store brand had it with the same %...so I got that. I wanted to try it with a mouthtray first so I bought Rembrandt Tooth Bleaching Kit...it has the same % of ingredient as the ear drops...I'll use that up first and then switch to the ear drops. How's everyone elses whitening coming along? (for those that just bought the drops) I'll keep you posted.

I'm sorry...I forgot to ask the most important question...how many applications has anyone put on before they started seeing their teeth getting whiter? I plan on doing this 2x's a day for 1 hour each...how long will this take? My teeth are not yellow or stained either...I just want them whiter...Thanks :p

Help! I've been using the drops for a few days and having good results....but it would go so much better if I could stop salivating all over the place after I put the drops in my mouth! :p The saliva just starts up right away and dilutes the drops, so I have to spit it out and start all over in a couple minutes or so. I tried using the mouthtray that I had from one of those whitening kits, but the Auro drops are too runny, it all just sinks to the bottom of the mouthtray and won't stay up at the top of my teeth. Any suggestions anyone?
btw, thanks, Koot for telling us about this. I can see that I'm going to get great results eventually.

If you read the label on the bottle, it says if ingested, contact medical personnel.........I take that to mean you should not put this in your mouth. What do you think?
I would love to try it, especially if it works. But scared of putting that stuff in my mouth, even if i don't swallow it............

I think for those of you who are worried about swallowing this, if you would check your tooth paste you would find the same warning. At least the tooth paste that I use has it on there.

Hi everyone...Just wondering how it's going with the whitening process for all? In one of my other posts I mentioned I was gonna try this with a tray so I bought Rembrandt...I used that the 1st couple of times just to see and all...I think it actually might have burned my gumline a little...Now I'm using the drops I purchased...I couldn't find the Auro Ear Drops so I got the store name and it has the same 6.5%...Koot if your reading this...I need to know if the Auro brand is more liquidy like? This stuff goes on the teeth nicely...I spread it around with q-tips and then just like that Colgate Simply White stuff...keep mouth open for 1 minute and it dries...Koot does this sound right? I could actually leave this stuff on all day if I wanted to...I don't notice the saliva one other post mentioned...Koot how long did it actually take before you started seeing results? Hope everyone is doing well here...keep us posted on results

Yeah Tia2...after reading all these posts I was worried about it running all over my mouth...well I bought the store brand because they only had the Auro Ear Dry and that is not the right stuff...this stuff is sorta thick and goes on nicely over the teeth...doesn't run anywhere else...that's I want to find out how long this stuff actually took before you noticed anything...I found mine at Rite-Aid...$5 couldn't go wrong :)

I bought the kind Koot said to buy and it is runny. I have a custom made tray from the dentist and it was so runny it stayed at the bottom of the tray. I also salivate a lot while its in my mouth. Guess I'm doing it wrong or something.

Has anyone ordered custom made trays on line? I've seen several companies that send out the molding supplies, you make the impression at home and send it back to them. A couple weeks later they send back custom molds that they claim are exactly like the ones made in the dentists office. The ones I've seen run about $75. I've had the ones made at my dentists and I have to admit, the ones you can order on line look just like them. I had been using my custom trays for a couple of weeks and having great results, then I left them in a pocket and accidently washed and dried them. I now have two very expensive balls of plastic! Also, I found a brand called "Debrox" that is thicker than the original one I tried and seems to have better "staying power". I've tried doing this without my trays and I just can't hold it there long. Would really like to know if these custom trays are worth it. It's just so easy to do that way.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I know you can buy the teeth molds online. You "boil" them in boiling water until pliable and mold to your teeth. I found a sight that sold them for about $2.00 each. I am not sure if that was what you were talking about though.

Hi Kassey,
I've seen the molds you are talking about. I think they are similar to the ones that come in the kits you can purchase at the store. I read a post that said the drops just sink to the bottom in them. The custom ones I have seen on line are just like the ones I had made at the dentists office. It is an impression of your teeth that you make at home, then send back to the company where the tray is made. It's basically like an oversized mouthpiece that you fill with this "goo" for lack of a better word, then bite down into it. It's a two step process because you can't do the top and bottom teeth at the same time. Once the goo has set, you take the mouthpiece out of your mouth. You then send in these impressions and they create custom made trays that molds perfectly to your teeth. They worked great with the ear drops. I just don't want to go back to the dentists and spend another $400 on these. Anyone purchase these?
Thanks!

I know a couple of people have replied to your post. I have checked my package of the Auro Ear wax remover ear drops. I do not have a warning on it that says ...if ingested, contact poison control. There is just not a warning! If you compare ingredients to a professional teeth whitening system, the ingredients are the same! Just a smaller amount of the carbamide peroxide.

I've seen the Debrox at Wal-Mart, Target, and Rite-Aid. It's in a box that is green on the top 1/4 and yellow on the bottom 3/4. I found it easier to use because of the thickness. It also has citrus flavoring listed as one of the ingredients (huh?) which makes it taste a little better than the other one I tried. Hope you can find some!

I tried your ear drop idea- although I didnt find the aural brand you mentioned, but i used one that had the same percentage of carbamide peroxide. I have used it a few times leaving it on my teeth for about 5 minutes and spitting it out and then brushing my teeth- my teeth look whiter but after a few days i feel like i need to do it again because they look less white! also, i am noticing that they arent whitening evenly- i had braces for years and i can see the difference in the spots that had brackets on them- but i am going to my dentist next week so lets see what he feels about it- great suggestion though, thanks
