Could the 50 mg's of Vioxx I am taking daily be the culprit? I actually gained 3 lbs since the last time I weighed myself pre-surgery. This is pissing me off! I am not even eating, and I gained 3 lbs. What the hell is going on here????? If it is the Vioxx I am not taking it anymore!!!!! Oh and I had them out on Monday, today is Wednesday, Day 3 (unless you consider it day 2 of post-op)

How much do you weigh and are you overly concerned with gaining an ounce???Lots of Medicine will make you gain weight.
Consult with a PDR and do a search..

I am 5'4. was 183 now 186. I have a curvy figure, smaller build, round hips and tush. I am taking liquid vicodin, amoxicillin, 50 mg of vioxx, and gargling with carafate diluted in water.

I did a search and am including a link for you.I didnt read where Vioxx causes weight gain.I would be willing to say that since you recently had Surge it stressed your body(even though you arent eating)and perhaps you've gained a bit of water weight.
I would go into pdr and search and also would consult your Doctor and see what he/she says.

Thank you Gertie! That was so nice of you! Maybe my body is still in shock and it's taking time for the weight to come off. I was just being paranoid. I mean if I am not eating then I should be dropping the LB's. Alleycat is on Day 6 and she's already dropped about 16lbs. Thought I'd be lucky to have that effect. Maybe it will take its effect soon.
