A few days ago, in residence, I went out for an evening a notice a slight twitching and maybe irriation during the evening. The next morning I awoke to my left eyelid glue shut with some pasty stuff. It was some gunkiness that appeared on the tip of my eyelids and glued it shut. I was eventually able to whipe that stuff away and see my eye which was swollen and red. Is this a classic eye infection? Is ti bacterial or viral in nature? Id id nothing and with 24-48 hrs it was back to normal.

It sound like conjunctivitis. It will not go away on its own. Go see the doctor. Eyes should not be neglected.

I don't know about infection...well ok lemme put it this way I woke up like this in July 2002 I was out of town at my fiance's house and ended up calling my mother begging her to call my doc to get me a perscription cause it was infected...(I don't know if that's actually what it was but I told her all that was wrong and she relayed it off)

My doc called in a perscription eye drop for me at the local pharmacy and within I'd say...oh two days of using the drops my eye was cleared up

If you use contacts I highly suggest you throw out the one that you HAD in that eye and use a new one...as well as the contact case. Same with any eye makeup...
