Hello, I got a cold about 3 weeks ago and have continued to have a cough after all this time. This morning i was blowing my nose and out came thick mucus that was bloody ( sorry for the description) I was also coughingat the same time coughed up some thick flem from my throat which was green. Ive pin pointed the blood from my nose. Is this something I should be worried about ? Should I wait to see if it happens again? Does anyone know why this would happen. it has only happened once.

thanks in advance

Hi, don't freak about the blood in your nose, it's been assulted in a big way. I just got over the same thing. Since you've had it for 3 weeks and you're still coughing up green stuff, you have a secondary infection and it's probably time for medical intervention.

I couldn't fight mine (sinus/larynx infection) off, although I gave it a mighty good try, my doctor gave me Clavulin. The 2 years before, I was given Zithromax. Both worked well and cleared it up in about 8 - 10 days. I have asthma, and the illness definitely had me needing my rescue inhaler around the every 4 hour mark.

Get well soon,
quincy
