I just found out today that I have another kidney stone. My first one was about 5 years ago. I had to have it surgically removed. I have been having pain on and off for a few months and now it is more on then off. I went to my primary care dr and was told I had a bladder infection. She gave me Cipro and told me to come back in a week. I did and was told that I still had blood in my urine and she sent me to the dr that removed my first stone. He ordered a ct scan which I had today. Almost all of my pain has been on my left side however I found out from the ct scan that my new kidney stone (14mm X 8 mm) is on my right side. My primary care doctor called me tonight to tell me. She also said that I would never be able to pass this stone. When I asked her was she sure the test said my right side she said yes and that my pain must be from something else. So my question is has anyone ever had or heard of having a stone on one side with pain on the other. I have been pain free up unitl recently. Thank you!
