I read i the newspaper that 42 kids have died that freaks me out, from the flu i guess im one of those idiots that thought the flu was no biggy,,,, well my kids will have a flu shot from now on,,, So far they are all well had little colds but thank god no fever or anything ,,, god bless all and god be with those that have lost loved ones to this nasty flu,,,,

I do not know why children are dying but do have a thought. Maybe parents at first think it is just a cold and do not bother getting medical attention soon enough for their children.

Remember, little ones do not have the stamina for big bugs.

But they were not all little ones. Some were 8, 11 yrs old!!

My three yr old has been in/out of the hospital this week with the flu and believe me, its a big deal!! I would hope and think that anyone that has a small child with a very high fever (in my case 104/105) they would bring them to the doc regardless of if they thought it was the flu or not!! Bring your kids to the doc (or at least call) if their fever gets over 102...that has always been my rule of thumb no matter what season it is!! You never know that is for sure!
