Super Girl,
I'm really sorry for your sister. Cold turkey is no fun at all. If she can keep them down, give her plenty of liquids to flush her out. Consider Valarian Root (an herb to help her relax a little). If she has any legal prescriptions available such as any diazepam or codeine, it might help her a little. Keep reinforcing to her that it will get better, because it will, but it takes time. Most of all, pray for her and I will also. If she is anything like me, she's experiencing a lot of fear at quitting and being without the heroin. Just keep reassuring her that everything is going to be okay. If it get's too bad for her, I would seek some medical help and get the yellow pages out and look up substance abuse treatment. One of the things that kept me using was being too scared to quit because I knew all the pain I was going to experience if I did it cold turkey. But it can be done because I and many others have done it. But with all the treatment centers available today, I would do it only as a last resort. One thing I learned by doing it cold turkey is that you never want to go through it again! Hope this helps and my prayers are with you and your sister. Keep supporting her. You are helping her right now by attempting to find some answers to questions about cold turkey. Give yourself credit for trying to help her out! Take care and may God comfort your sister in her time of need!

thanks sad sister,
i hope it goes well, everyone has something different to say aboub wding at home. But seriously when she went for the 5 day detox in the hospital they had her on muscle relaxers and painkillers in the hospital but when she came home, she was still going throught it, took her to the doctor then he gave me 10 serex.

My point is the hospital didn't do to much, and she to go through withdrawal at home anyway, so i imagine it would be pretty much the same thing??!!
