My doctor wants to remove my gall bladder, test results do not indicate any stones, just improper levels(21% function). Would like to try an alternate treatment, any suggestions??

Yes, get a alternate opinion from other doctors. There are 'a lot' of doctors deceiving patients for the sake of profit.

I aggree with replyer. Sounds like a proffit scam to me. In the recent past, i had some dental work done and was instructed that i really needed a root canal done on a tooth. That tooth had been filled yrs ago and i had lost some of it, but the filling was intact and i never had any ache or infection. I don't doubt that this tooth may go problem fre for several yrs, but i was strongly incouraged to have a root-canal. Also a chiropracter did x-rays in an initial examination knowing my condition was not severe and that i had been x-rayed several times before with no signe of damge to my spine. Yes, i am learning how greedy health care is getting.

I agree. Don't rush to remove the gall bladder without a lot of different medical opinions (unless it is a serious emergency or could cause serious immediate problems).
If you had gall bladder stones, there are natural remedies to remove them. I know enough about herbal therapy and in general dietary changes, to know that there might be some natural treatments that would work, instead of surgery.
I would definitely seek another opinion from a doctor and read up more about it.
