I am not a physician and don't pretend to be one. This is ONLY my experience that I leave here to possibly to be some help to someone else.

Over two years ago I developed some indications that I sought a cardiologist's opinion about. After many tests the cardio diagnosed me with AF (subject above) and prescribed Betapage to control the symptoms.

Being an avid runner I didn't like what the prescription did to me and, futhermore, didn't like the idea of treating only the symptoms of the problem rather than the problem itself.

That put me on a long search for answers. I have read and researched much over the last months. What I have found has resolved the AF issue for me but may not work for anyone else.

Two supplements are critical to controlling my AF:

1,000mg of Fish Oil - 3 times/day
50mg of CoQ10 - 2 times/day

Through trial an error I have found that this works for me. As long as I am on these supplements the AF is in control. If I neglect taking the supplements for a few days the AF comes back.

I hope that this helps someone!

Thanx, moneyfunman!

I will add the info to my arsenal of info. I also do the fish oil and Co-Q10 (but balking at the price). I do approximately double your dose of each!

I know that being a runner can be so easily subverted by the bulk of the common heart meds!

How has it been working for you? I don't know where you ar located and if you have one available but I have found the best valued CoQ10 is available at SAM's Club.

I to have A- Fib. Seeing that you are a runner, does the running ever trigger the A-Fib? I have times when I work out that I get A-Fib symptoms (chest pain, fullness in throat and palpitations) afterwards.
