Homeopathy and acupuncture can be very effective forms of treatment.

if the acne is very severe (with cysts, etc) i would consider accutane. otherwise if you want to natural, i would try azelex, an antibiotic wheat derivative that is great (presciption though) or vitamin B5. check out the healthbaords acne site for more info.

You can try a variety of ESSENTIAL OILS : Teatree oil very effective but can be drying, Bergamot oil also very good not as drying, Lavender oil, another, great for sensitive skin, my fave though is Lemon oil (do a patch test first though to see how her skin will tollerate it can be quite strong for sensitve skin, however, I find it works the fastest from the oils I have tried-all of the above.
All of these oils can be diluted with a carrier oil such as almond oil - edible only "if you wouldn't eat it why would you put it on your skin?"

Hey,
I hate taking any sort of non natural medicine but I have found, that with moderate to severe acne you sometimes need to take them. I'm on a BC pill and my skin has been great for ages.
I tried acuupunture, oils, lotions, creams, cleaners (all natural) and none did anything, except for make my scarring worse later on. If you go to the acne boards on this site, you will mostly find that only for mild acne-the oils etc work.
It's best to see a doctor or dermatologist to figure out whats best for your daughters skin. If she has mild acne-that's great, the suggestions above may work-you could also get her to take a clear skin supplement made by a company like Healtheries to prevent pimples coming.
