I just want to say first that I have OCD, so I am probably obsessing over nothing.

I went out with a guy for about 8 months. We were very close and I trusted him completely. We broke up and haven't spoken much for 5 months.

Well anyways, I was reading about HIV, and became worried. We had unprotected anal sex once (stupid, I know) in late march or early April. He is a blood donor, and the last time he gave blood was early February (I remember asking him why he had blood drawn) So I guess my question is, if he gave blood would they have called him to inform him he was HIV+? I know he didn't cheat on me, he wouldn't do that and he wouldn't have lied to me either. Should I be worried?

People would have called him if he he had HIV+ blood. However in many third world countries innocent people do get HIV because of the ignorance and stupidity of the hospital. I dont think that hospitals can do something like that here. I really dont think that you are at risk

I think HIV shouldn't be your worry, and dont ever let it become an obsession, Nyxin has somehow, pulled me out from it, you can just live your normal life from now, and get tested when the window period is over.. but the result will be negative, just test for fun...alright

Well, technically there is a risk since you had unprotected sex. Hopefully he was telling you the truth when he told you he was a blood donor. If that is the case, he very likely does not have HIV. If it bothers you that much get tested. Anal sex is very risky, use a condom next time.
