Hello there everyone,
I'm 23 years old and am planning on seeing a doctor soon with my new insurance from work. But I figured it wouldn't hurt to post here and get some feedback.
First of all, I'm a big guy. I honestly do not know how much I weigh but It could be near 300lbs. When I was in college a few years ago I went to the doctor because my fingers were numb. They'd get like that but if I took a nap or something, it'd go away. I wanted to make sure there were no blocked arteries or anything. He pretty much just said there was nothing wrong with me and that it must have to do with nerves. Last year, my ex-girlfriend and I went to a health fair and did a blood test and some other things. The blood pressure test was not so bad, the nurse said that it was just above the norm and that I should watch my diet to get it back on track. I can honestly say that I'm very stupid for not following her advice. When the results of the blood test came back, It was saying that I had high cholesterol.
Now my hands still go numb every now and then. But not really NUMB, it's more of a dull feeling, like they're sensitive. Even as I type, they have this little feeling. But what is more disturbing is the chest pains. It's not too appropriate to call them chest PAINS because it doesn't hurt. I also let my doctor know about these chest pains and they ran the EKG and all that and said everything was fine. That was a while back though, say 2 years ago or more. Well now, I still have these dull discomforts in my left chest area and sometimes in the middle of my chest. It never hurts, it's just a little annoying and uncomfortable. Do any of you have any thoughts on this possibly? Should I be so concerned as to make an appt. tomorrow? I try not to worry myself with these things but you never know.
I have no stress in my life right now and everything seems to be going great with the exception of this. :(
I look forward to reading your responses.
Thank you,
Joey
