Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone knows how long fifths disease is contagious. My daughters pediatrition told me it was no longer contagious after the rash breaks out, but my Dr. said it can still be contagious after the rash appears. I'm not sure whether or not I should keep my daughter away from other children.
I would appreciate any advice.

I have heard that it is not contagious after the rash breaks out. I would keep my son out of school for 24 hours afterwards, though. Do they Rx anything for that?
