Would Like To Know If Any Of You Suffer From Degenerative Disc Disease And If There Is Any Hope. My Husband Is Disabled With This Terrible Disease. Has Been For Three And One Half Years.although It Was Coming On For Ten Years Prior. He Is Only 48. Now Sleeps In Hospital Bed To Get Enough Relief From The Pain To Sleep. Is On Multiple Medications. Developed Diabetes Two Years Ago. He Also Has A Muscle Disease Associated With Ddd (which The Name Escapes Me At This Time). He Has Been Through All The Thearpies Offered, All The Cat Scans, Mri's, X-rays Etc. His Doctors Say There Is Nothing More They Can Do. He Has Multiple Disc Hernations From Top To Bottom. Multiple Bone Spurs Throughout His Spine. The Doctors Will Not Try The Cortisone Injections Saying His Damage Is So Widespread They Would Not Know Where To Start. He Sleeps Approx. 15 Hours A Day, Sometimes More, Very Seldom Less. We Do Not Know Where To Turn At This Point. Doctors Say Surgery Is Not An Option Due To Danger Of Scar Tissue. I Could Go On And On. Would Like To Know If Anyone Suffers This Much At This Age With This Disease. Would Appreciate Any Input.
