i havent noticed any benefits as yet is this normal.

yes, it can take 4 to 6 weeks for any benefit

Most meds are 4-6 weeks before you feel anything. A select few are almost immediate (Effexor, for one, I *think*). Be patient, it's a guessing game for the doctor as to which med will work for you. Some meds work great for some, but do nothing for others.
