Hi everyone,
I have been on paxil cr 25 mg for 4 months. In that time the only symptoms to lesson have been head and neck aches. Also in that time I have had some added symptoms like more tingling in the mornings and this wicked chilled spine feeling.

Has anyone heard of paxil causing your backbone to feel like an icesicle. Is this some sort of side effect or are my problems getting worse.

The paxil has not helped my lightheaded/brainfog at all.

Thanks,
Derek

I haven't had experiend with Paxil, but....

I have been on other meds. I am a black belt in TKD. I've noticed that while I was on medications, my endurance and surprisingly, my flexibility suffered. Within 1 week of discontinuing use of any drug, my flexibility soars and my endurance returns. Strangely, xanax, which relaxes me entirely robs my flexibility. My back, among other parts of my body, definitely become tighter. I'd tell your doc and see what else he/she can offer. Actually, I would research which drugs do not have side effects you do not wish to tolerate and suggest them to the doc. Everybody responds differently to antidepressants. The doc is going on experience and a little bit of experimentation.... you have an equal chance of chosing the correct drug for yourself.

After 4 months, your body has had time to adjust to the medication. If it hasn't learned to deal with it, then it probably never will. Sounds like it's time to try something different. The meds that worked best for me had NO side effects, not even in the beginning. Of course, everyone is different, but the side effects should decrease as your body adjusts. Then again, sometimes, a med. may work so well that the side effects are worth it. It really is experimentation.
