Has anyone heard of or tried Boswellia (an herb) for migraines? I don't know anything about it and plan to search online, but I'd like to know if anyone has any personal experiences to share. I met a girl who told me she used to get migraines and they have lessened. She said she took Boswellia once a day, I don't know the dosage, and it helped. I get migraines usually once every few months. Luckily they aren't that frequent, but when I get them, boy are they awful! Has anyone else had any experiences with this herb or any other remedies?
The only precautions I know of are to take headache medicine before going to bed or in the morning if I think I may get a migraine. Sometimes I have a feeling I'll get one, or if I have a headache and am afraid it will turn into a migraine. Or I try to stay in dim light early in the morning. I keep a nightlight on in the bathroom so I don't have to turn on a bright light to see early in the morning. I also make sure to eat breakfast or eat every few hours because I tend to get migraines when I haven't eaten enough for a meal, like when I'm really busy, or when I don't get enough sleep. Does anyone else have any tips on avoiding or lessening migraine pain? One thing I've also heard, but never tried because I was in so much pain I just wanted to lay down, is to put your feet in warm water and put something cold (cold washcloth or even cold soda can) on your forehead. I'm not sure if this would help, but it would be interesting to try. Thanks!
