I can't find a decent wrist counter anywhere!
I was thinking a small electronic one would be best. All I found so far is a large awkward looking golfers maual one which only counts up to 10!
Any help much appreciated.

Hi Monky-
You should see the first wrist counter I bought which was for golf, it was hideous looking and brought up way too many questions from other people. Thankfully a friend mentioned to me that most sports watches that runners wear have a counter feature on them and no one will ask why you are wearing a watch. I eventually splurged and bought the Nike running watch as I liked how cool it looked and I can use it as my everyday watch so now I always have the counter available :D

To me next to doing the TEA form exercise the counter is probably my favorite exercise in CBT. Outside the context of CBT this may not sound clear but I'll give it a try.... There are actually two different exercises you can do with it that are actually opposites. In short, one is to click the counter evertytime you catch your self thinking a negative thought (this can be really helpful early on as the more negative thoughts ytou catch the more useful the TEA form becomes to you) at the end of the day you record how many you caught. You will notice that the number goes up for the first weeks or so that you are doing this but this is normal as you are just getting better at identifying when you are doing this and catching them. As you begin to use the TEA form to counter these thoughts the number will begin to go down and by this time you will likely be feeling some relief.
The other is just the opposite and the one I use it for now that I have had success with the other tools. You count everything you do and click the counter whenever you do anything. As ridiculous as this may sound here, it is remarkably effective at improving your mood after you have gotten good at giving yourself relief with the TEA form and other CBT tools. It helps alert your focus away from dwelling on what you have not done by showing how many things you have done which normally dwarfs the things you have not once you are getting relief from the other tools.
Hope this makes some sense in this context?
