Does epsom salt really work for constipation? Is it safe to use?

Epson salts is an osmotic agent type of laxative that promotes water secretion to the colon --irritating it. It is safe for occasional use but if used more than occasionally will result in dependency. Not GOOD!!!
THe safest is a bulk forming agent like Metamucil or Citrucel. They are both safe to take daily.
