Hello Magnolia, I read through your posts that you have lost allot of weight while on Atkins and also working out. What is a normal days menu like for you and how many cal./fats and carbs do you usually consume. I think you have done an amazing job on getting down to a size two!! Congrats!

Wow, Heather, have you lost 78 pounds? What have you been doing, low carb or what, and for how long?

Hi wearesiamese, yes I have lost allot of weight but it has been over the course of several years. I mainly stuck to low cal/low fat for the majority of years but these past couple of months I also cut out allot of carbs and started droping pounds again. I am also eating more fat and found that also helps. I went from eating almost no fat to eating around 20 grams a day.I try to just eat really clean overall.
Hope I helped!! :D

thanks heather...i have maintained for the past 6 months...during the on-going weight loss phase of atkins, i ate a lot of different foods...
typical menu
breakfast...ham & cheese omelette or sausage wrapped in a slice of cheese
lunch...salmon patties with cheese and a side of asparagus
dinner...chicken breast with cheese, a salad or a cup of veggies
snack...tangerine diet rite with 1/4 cup of heavy whipping cream or boiled eggs
evening snack...sf jello with frozen raspberries...
and way too many cups of java (1 carb for 8 oz)
calories ranged from 1200-1500, ratios were 5% carbs, 30% protein, and 65% fats... carbs were 20-30 as i had to keep my carbs low to lose because of meds i am on...there were days that i only had brunch and dinner, evening snacks were not that often...had an eas carb control shake during days of weight lifting...i did the body for life weight lifting routine 3x a week alternatig with 3 days of running...
i never ate the lc breads, still haven't, as bread was my weakness so i feel there is no need to introduce them back....the lc bars and sf chocolates stalled me, as they do many others, seems it does create an insulin spike if one is already low carbing and affects glycogen storage although the ketosticks may still turn purple...(atkins has become so commercialized with his bars and shakes)...
nuts stall me...cheese doesn't...all a matter of figuring what stalls you when the weightloss stops...
i haven't tracked my carbs since i reached goal, i give myself the 4 lb leeway that atkins allows, and then turn around and lose it again...i do have a tendency to gain a few pounds from over indulging in proteins rather than carbs...but will start in the next official body for life challenge so perhaps that will put a stop to that...
all my best to you and congrats on your loss thus far

I love Jello, but Jello brand jello has aspartame in it. Is that the brand that you are eating. I'm afraid it will stall my weight lose, as I found out to much sweet & low does also. I didn't know you should limit the packs to 3 a day, I was comsuming about 6 in coffee(3 to 4 cups).
