I know I must sound like a moron by asking this because everyones metabolism and body sizes are different... . but I'm getting nervous about how long its going to take to loose this weight and it not come back and find me....LOLOL

I'm 25 years old, 5-8 and 155 lbs. I've never had a problem with my weight until now, I was always called 'Olive Oil' or 'frog legs' and such growing up and even in high school. I went on Celexa (an antidepressant) about 3 years ago and have since gained 40 lbs. I was around 115 at the time I started it. I used to have anxiety and it helped with it. I have since when off of it around the end of October and have realized how big I have gotten. I knew I had put on weight then, but it never bothered me nearly as much as it does now. I have tried a few diet plans and suceeded in losing 5 or 10 lbs hear or there but couldn't stick with them for more than a month.

I am going to a big wedding in April on the beach and there will be people I haven't seen in ages. I am determined to do this. If I'm doing cardio about 50 minutes a day 3 times a week, taking Trimspa and doing the Suzanne Somers diet I hope I will accomplish my goals. I really have to stick with it this time.... I am a skinny person inside....LOLOL

Because I have never had to watch my weight or put any real effort into weightloss I'm confused as what to expect and how long it will take to lose about 25 lbs. I miss being thin, its such a different world out there. Especially being single, I'm hating this fat on my body.

sorry to bore you, I just need some insight on what to expect and what is a normal time frame with this whole weight loss thing.... thanks ;o)

Well, I'm 5'7 (and a half ;)) and weighed 149 on Nov. 19th. I'm older than you, too (32 on Saturday). I've been eating 1400 calories per day (I've had probably 4-5 'cheat' days during this past 5 weeks, though) eating what I WANT, not low carb or low anything per se (except cals) and have been doing 45 minutes each day cardio and some days more. I am currently 130! Also, I had been doing a lot of cardio before Nov 19th without dieting and not much change. The calorie counting made the difference for me.

You have a lot of time and with dedication, you can get down to bikini size by April. I'd (personally) quit the pills, though. You don't need them. Instead, spend your money on new clothes. I am constantly trying on clothes, some a little small (many of which are now too big!) to stay motivated.

My personal goal is between 120-125, and then I'll probably maintain on around 1600 cals per day along with a weekly "splurge" on some sort of treat (like a caramel sundae). :) That's the plan.

Good luck!

WOW

I bet you look great being that height and 130, Keep it up hotty! Don't you feel like a whole other person? I can't wait to drop this weight. You definitely inspired me to keep it up. I have been doing the cardio now since around Halloween and wasnt really seeing the scale budge.

I finally decided I needed to do both, which is what you're doing......(not just one or the other like I've been doing back and forth for the last year.) I started the Suzanne Somers diet on Sat. I'm down from 159 to 154 today and I am a lot happier about just those 5 lbs. So I can't wait till I'm in your shoes.

CONGRATS AGAIN!!!!!

Thanks :) I do feel so much better about myself. I actually have clothes I bought right when I started that were a little small, looking forward to fitting into, that are now too BIG! I'm going to be packing up all my "Fat" clothes and putting them somewhere very dark in my basement :) I don't want to get rid of them only because I'm still trying to get pg (been trying for over 2 years, though). If I do get pg, I'll need some post-pg wear, but I plan to get back to my new clothes asap.

Keep it up!!! It does get hard sometimes, but if you fall, pick yourself right back up!

What is the Suzanne Sommers diet? Is it a low-carb type one?

Jo
