I have had this constant nagging cramping on my left side for a few weeks now. I went to the dr. yesterday and he is doing a full work up. He says it could be anything from a pulled muscle in the abs to a pinched nerve to IBS...the list goes on. Basically, he is in a info gathering phase and I need to wait until after my CT. Of course, I am thinking the worse things possible and it is really causing a lot of anxiety and I just wanted to know if this is anything anyone else has experienced. Thanks. -K

Hi Kat,
Don't let anxiety get the better of you. I would push the doc to get the test done quickly so you can put your mind at ease.
Best of luck to you.

The testing phase is the worst because nothing is definitive. You'll just have to go through it and be patient. I won't suggest you not worry because you will anyway......I know what I went through (and I didn't have the internet!! just every medical book available).

From my perspective, your doctor is doing what's supposed to be done...BUT, if your symptoms get worse in any way, get quickly to the hospital or back to your doctor pronto.

Let us know the diagnosis.

Hang in there, I can totally relate.

Best to you,
quincy

Please let us know your test results.

good news is that my CT showed that everything is as it should be. bad news is...well, we still don't know what is going on. I will be seeing a GI doc soon so hopefully we can pin it down. I still have the cramping although not as severe and I have a bloated sensation which is probably more of an problem than the cramp since it is so constant. I am just relieved that the CT was able to rule out a lot of things. thanks for your thoughts..K
