I thought about going to the womens health board for this one, but I don't know how many cp'ers are over there. I wondered if any of the ladies out there have had this experience. Since I've been on methadone, I've noticed I don't have my periods as often. I used to have them every four weeks like clockwork, but now I sometimes go three months without one. My sister is a nurse practitioner and she said this can happen on narcotics, but my doctor said no it doesn't. I am 43 years old, so it could be the start of menopause I guess, but I don't have any other symptoms of that. Just wondering if any of the ladies here have the same experience.

I can't help you with this one as I had to have an emergency hyst a few years ago. Hopefully some others will be along soon.

My periods are more spaced out since I started OxyContin. I used to be like clockwork- every 29 days... but when I started OxyC I was 38 days, then 42 days the following month... just more and more spaced out..
It only bothers me because I have ne idea when to expect my period to start, but otherwise, I certainly don't mind!

I agree with that!!! I wouldn't mind them stopping entirely! But you're right, not knowing when to expect it does have disadvantages. I'm glad to know this happens to you too. It's gotta be the pills changing our systems. Thanks for your reply.
