Ok I didn't know where to go to write this but this is about wrist pain and I was wondering if someone could help me figure out what is wrong with my wrist. I have terrible pain in my right wrist, its right in the middle and I would have this annoying constant pain always even when I dont move it, then when I try and bend it it hurt to the point of me crying and it hurts when I turn it inwards, at night its the worst it throbs and I cant sleep, even after pills it still hurts, I try using one of those wrist things that have the metal, but I am a domestic at a hospital and I cant efford to have this pain, it does go away for a few weeks then its back again I've had it for 2 years now I used to get a lump but now I dont it just hurts, I dont know should i go to my docter, I dont wanna u know how they are! Please help me I cant take it any more!!!

Hello Tara,
My daughter has had what sounds a lot like what you have described. We did take her to the Dr. and he refered her to an Ortho. who had her take a ct scan to find the cause. Apparently, 1 1/2 yrs. ago, when she slipped on some ice and fell she pulled a ligament but the Drs. then thought it was a sprain and we did nothing about it. (Other than ice/heat...) She got alot of releif from Physical Therapy. Also, they made her a splint, which she will wear on occassion if the pain flares up. Have you ever fallen, even slightly? When my daughter fell it wasn't that bad and we didn't take it serious. Had we, she would have been a lot less pain and sooner.Hope this helps. My suggestion, even if you did not fall, is to see a Dr. and get a ct scan or mri to pin point the problem. If your body is any pain and yours seems to be constant and consistant, there is something wrong.

Best pf luick
Lorie

Could it be a Ganglion Cysts?

Could it be a Ganglion Cysts?

Hi
Not likely. ganglion cysts are quite obvious nodules you can see and stay there.
I agree with Lorie that you should have this checked out with a scan etc. There are 8 bones in the wrist and you could well have damaged one of them.
Don't be deterred by the thought of dr's. If you are quite clear and firm in telling them about this and how long it has gone on , I think you will be referred to an Ortho Specialist or similar. Some dr's specialise just in shoulders, arms and wrists.
Best wishes.
