when I was my hair or just run my hands through my hair while in the shower some of my hair comes out in my hands. Why is my hair coming out? Is that a sign of something wrong?

Hi,
It could be or not be something serious.
One loses around a hundred hairs a day. Hair is totally replaced every 2 - 4 years. If you are losing more hair than you would normally notice, is it because your hair is much longer than it's been previously? Longer hair is noticed more because of its tangling and just because one strand can look like so much more than it is (a 3 inch strand looks much less than a 12 inch strand).
If you've been pregnant, on medications or have other medical problems or situations such as very high stress/distress or thyroid dysfunction, it could be health related.
If you have noticed that your hair FEELS thinner than it normally is or it LOOKS thinner, go to the doctor and have your thyroid checked out for sure.
If you're on any medication, thinning hair may be one of its side effects.
If you're washing your hair daily, brushing it at least twice a day, the natural shedding process won't be as noticed compared to if you're not brushing your hair and wash it only every 3 days.
I hope you find an answer...

Like Quincy said, it's normal to lose 100 to 200 hairs a day. Everyone does. Unless you seem to be losing a really abnormal amount of hair, or big chunks of it, don't worry.
