My Mother-in-law has AD. She lives in a block of flats. We wish to talk with her neighbours because we realise that they may have fears for their own safety. I would guess that their main worry will be that a confused old lady could set fire to her flat and burn the entire block down. Clearly we are attempting to take every precaution to prevent this. Does anybody know of any house fire statistics which relate to AD sufferers? I would dearly like to be able to show people that other categories (lone male smokers or families with children for instance) are a much higher risk.
