I have had a white film on my tongue for about 10 days now. Also, I have a few white bumps near the back. I have seen pictures of Thrush and my conditon isnt nearly as severe. Do I have an infection? There is no pain so I am wondering what it is. Thanks

Have you been on antibiotics recently? If so it may be candida ( yeast).

When the white film/bumps started, I took antibiotics for 2 or 3 days because there was a sore throat that came along with it. My throat was only sore on one side though. The sore throat only lasted about 3-4 days, but the white color and the bumps on the back have stayed.

I'm going to guess it's thrush. The pictures you see of it can make it appear awful, but these are usually the worst cases they're showing you. It's very common; people with asthma can get it from their inhaler, babies get it from their formula, etc. Sometimes antibiotics can cause it, but if you had the sore throat first, then the sore throat was probably from the thrush as that's one of the symptoms.
It's not a big deal to treat, your doctor will simply prescribe liquid Nystatin for you to swish around for about a week. It will probably make it disappear the first day but finish the bottle as it has a tendancy to come back.
Take care....and don't worry about it, it's very common.

Ok well then this may be a silly question, but there is so much on the internet, it scares you... Does thrush mean HIV?
