Hello. I'm a 44 y/o female. I currently work through a temp agency and am without insurance. I will be starting a full time job this month with insurance coverage beginning after 90 days. My problem is this. I've been experiencing some symptoms that are indicative of heart problems, such as... sore and tight feeling in my chest~started on right side and is now pronounced in entire region, irregular heart rate with bounding heart papitations, lightheadness, cold one minute...perspiring the next, occasional nausea, always tired, hard time sleeping~probably due to worry, and the newest symptom is indigestion. It seems to have started with an occasional heart flutter, but now it feels as though my heart is going to come right out of my chest at lease once a minute. If I lie on my right the right side of my chest hurts. If I lie on my left my heart feels like it's going to explode. Never the less, here's my dilemma. I can have this checked out at our community center and cross my fingers it isn't anything serious and not heart related OR I can just put it off, if I can possibly stand it, until my insurance kicks in. I don't know what to do. I can't call my parents. They would have a fit to hear that I'm without insurance. I do know better, but what's done is done. I could also purchase temporary short term insurance and have it checked out in a couple weeks or so. I don't know! Of course I realize only I can make the final decision. I just feel so alone with this one and wanted to share it with someone.
Thanks for listening.
hugs,
Down and out....

Out of curiosity, what would you do?

What would I do? I certainly would not wait for over 3 months to see a doctor. I would go to the community center (is the check up free there?) or if you have the money, have a check up by a doctor to find out how serious your symptoms are.
Half your symptoms could be caused by worrying.
