I know there are a lot of threads about tight foreskins already but I think mine is unique - and am wondering if anyone can help. My foreskin is very tight and covers my penis almost completely and I can't retract it over the gland either when its erect or not. I'm in my 20's and have never retracted it. I get no trouble at all apart from the fact that I now want to become sexually active and am wondering how much of a problem it may become. Any help much appreciated. Thanks.

Foreskins come in all lengths, just like penises. You do need to work at retracting that foreskin, for alot of reasons....one being cleaning under there on a regular basis. The other is that it will need to move some for sexual intercourse etc. It can be stretched so those things happen without pain. I'd suggest that you look around on this thread under foreskin topics, you'll find numerous posts about stretching and such. Keep in touch and we'll be more than glad to help, and don't worry...this is common for us uncut guys!

I don't have a lot of time tonight. Check out this thread and follow the second link before getting back to us with questions. Good luck http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/Forum80/HTML/000320.html

I think that its going to be a little hard for you to start pulling the skin back now, since you're 20yrs old now. You should of started alot younger, it has nothing to do with being sexually active. You need to clean yourself and besides just be able to pull the skin back anyway, when you get an rection would should be able to see the head of your penis as the skin pulls back, you should see a Dr. about this and see what they say about it.
Good Luck
Steve

Cheers guys - is it possible to retract it overtime regardless of how long the foreskin is and if you have a short frenulum?
Also at the top of the underside of my penis as i retract my foreskin there is a little lump which the skin is stuck to - what is this?
Thanks

You are describing the frenulum. It's a Y-shaped piece of skin attached to the glans just under your pee hole that anchors your foreskin to it's point of attachment. It's possible to stretch the frenulum as long as you take it slowly, no matter how old you are. You can either pull it back as far as it will go without actual pain and hold it there for a few minutes, or you can pull it forward and do the same thing.

no matter how long and tight your foreskin is, with some patience and persistence, you will be able to get it to retract just fine. Just gently stretch it as Geoff has suggested, every day, several times a day. It is a property of skin anywhere that it will stretch, if pressure is applied. If you don't notice results in six to eight weeks, let us know.

Thanks guys - u've been a great help. One final question for the moment - would having sex be a problem for me at the moment given my situation?

I wouldn't think so, does your foreskin move at all over and around on the head of your penis?

No - it seems to stay in the same place. When you retract the foreskin, should the foreskin go over the frenulum or is the frenulum attached to the foreskin?

Hey bud, frenulum is going to stay right where it is. It actually holds the foreskin to your penis. So, youre foreskin will move over the head and down the shaft of your penis, being held by the frenulum. So, I'd say you've got some work to do. Follow our instructions and begin gently working with your foreskin to move it over the head and down the shaft. Take your time, be patient and most of all be consistent...do this daily! Keep in touch!

As far as it'll go. Some of our foreskins will completely retract so that when erect our penis resembles a circumcized one. Each of us is different though as foreskins, like penises come in different sizes.

I think u are right Lance - I've a lot of work to do! My foreskin and frenulum seem to be stuck together so I don't know how I'm gonna get the foreskin over the frenulum! i'll keep trying anyway and let u know

Hey bud, take your time and do some of the stretching stuff. As you continue to work with it your discomfort and any fear will lessen. No big deal, work at it at your own pace.

The foreskin only needs to go back far enough to fully expose the head. You will find that under normal circumstances, the foreskin will somewhat bunch up behind the head. However, the further you are capable of pulling the foreskin down the shaft(meaning a stretched fremulum), you will find that you will have less chances of getting abrasions or tears in the area under the glans (frenulum area).

My foreskin is attached to the frenulum, and so does this mean i can't retract the foreskin over the frenulum?

Everybody's forskin is attached to the frenulum. I don't really know how to explain it but the frenulum and forskin stretch out when you pull the skin back. The frenulum kind of tethers the forskin. I'd post a link to a picture but the mods don't let you do squat anymore.

So when u retract ur foreskin, should the frenulum move back over the head too?

Well, since it's under the head... it never really goes over the head. It's basically stretched under the head.
