Hey John, you mentioned in another post that not having a completely dry face when applying jojoba oil can cause clogged pores. I was just wondering what it is about water plus jojoba that causes this, I've never heard it before. Thanks!

I was puzzled by this also. What exactly would clog the pores?

Hey there, I dont know exactly why it would cause some clog pores, however i was reading a post on the "Skin, Hair, & Nail Problems", and this is what the person was asking Marti
"Used the pure jojoba oil last night for the first time and the guy told me to use it when skin is wet so it absorbs better. I used only a drop or two and I could still feel the greasy type feeling about 1 1/2 hours later. (when I touched my face, the shiny oil came off on my hand.).... had tiny little filled pimples (oil?) all over that cheek and jawline where I applied it......They weren't ver large but there were a lot and all in groups of more than one...."
Marti's response was...
"Obviously, the person who told you this doesn't know much about jojoba oil If you apply the oil to damp skin, the pores are already blocked with water and the oil will have a hard time penetrating the skin since the pores are already 'full'."
