Coming from a massage therapist who has had many clients come to see me with headache problems, definitely have him try some deep tissue massage on his upper trapezius muscles(common area for migranes) and all of his neck rotaters-deep and superficial. I would suggest to try massage first before you go and spend money on different foods or medicine. Touch is very healing. You could even try massaging his upper traps-just knead them a little just to warm them up;then with him sitting upright, put your elbows in the highest part of his shoulders(upper trapezius)...that should be the tightest part on his shoulders...then just lean down and use your body weight to sink in-don't push, just use your body weight...sit there like that for as long as you can or as long as he can take it. I am sure he will experience much relief from that. However, if his relief is short lived, go to get a proffessional massage and tell them about the migranes. "MAKE SURE" the person is experienced, because a lot of therapist like to sound like they know what they are doing. They should have at least 2-3 years experience, or 500 hour of "school" training.
Good Luck

Have him try a very good neck exercise. One that I do, when my neck is out of sorts is a head roll. What you do is put your head down on your chest and roll your head to the left to your shoulder, then to your back, to the other shoulder, and finally back to your chest. Do this 3 times to the left and 3 times to the right. Do not strain when you do it. It may take several weeks to do good, but it will work. Essentially, what you are doing with this exercise is getting a neck adjustment over a period of time, just about like what a chiropracter would do.
If he uses the computer all of the time he should do this exercise several times per day. Remember, never put a strain on the neck, when doing the exercise.
