My mother-in-law was just diagnosed with lung cancer. We do not have the answers yet as to what type or stage. Also we have not discussed treatments yet.
We are looking for help as to what questions should we be asking the doctors? Are there tips you can share with us for when she goes through treatment. Initial conversation is chemo and radiation. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks -eko

Hello Eko, I'm afraid I will not be too much help but I may have a few suggestions. I went through Chemotherapy 20 years ago. Some of the information you may want to find out is a) is this treatable b) is there any surgery that will be needed C)if so how long for recovery. I'm not sure what age she is but even a little is going to take awhile to recover. Try and keep her thoughts and mind very strong. A lot of people her age tend to just want to throw in the towel. There are alot of new medicines and treatments out there these days. When taking chemo it may make her sick so check to see if there is a medicine to help with the side effects.
I will keep you and her in my prayers. Good luck and God Bless.
Ron.
