I went to bed pretty earlier last night and at about 12:30 am I woke up to horrible ear pain. It hurt pretty badly, I woke my hubby up and asked him to grab my pain medicine. It hurt so bad that I did not want to swallow. After I took the pain meds I felt a whole lot better. I have absolutely no appetite this morning. My stomach doesn't feel all that well for some reason. I have not had a bowel movement since before my surgery, so I am going to ask my hubby to grab me some Prune Juice. I really do not want to take a Laxative because I know that would mess my stomach up and I do not want that. My throat hurts a little worse, but not much still very tolerable.
I just hope that awful ear pain stays away. If anyone has any suggestions about anything please fell free to share it with me.

Hey Girl
Unfortunatly theres not much you can do about the ear pain. It is just reffered pain from your throat. When your throat is done hurting the ear pain should go away. Sounds like your still doing rather well concidering everything you have been thru keep it up!!!

Hello. I am also on day 5 post-op and I am 29. I must admit that I feel much worse at night. I decided that I would go to sleep last night and if/when I woke up in pain during the night I would take my pain meds, boy was that a mistake. I am also haven't had a bowl movemnt since the day before my surgery, and this is where I got into some trouble. (as gross as it may sound) I think while attempting to use the bathroom I strained to much and my mouth began to pour blood. It took some nice, cold water to get it under control, but eventually I did. My right ear/jaw area is also sore. I haven't been able to eat much other than vanilla ice cream and drink lots of water.
Hoping that things get better in days to come.:(
