Hi there Wes how have you been? Haven't seen you on here in a long time. Grizz hasn't been around since November or so. I don't know what happened. I was off line because of moving and then my hard drive crashed and by the time I got back here he was gone. I often wonder about him and how he is doing. I keep hoping one day he'll pop in but he hasn't so far.

Hello my dear ole friends!

I just wanted to add that I've also been worrying about Grizz. It's good to see that some of you are still around. Seems like so many of the "old guard" have disappeared for some reason. I know I've not been on much lately either, mostly due to the holiday stuff and the usual pain dramas. But I have been trying to catch up lately.

I remember Grizz was going thru that horrible treatment as my husband did several years ago, so I know how difficult and traumatic it can be. I sure wish he would pop up and at least let us know how he's doing.

Anyway, good to hear from all of you and I pray 2004 will be better than all the years before. Your buddy, Linda

Hello there Meredith!

My goodness, you have been thru several ordeals lately, haven't you? My heart goes out to you with the loss of your neighbor, and I cannot imagine the fear of those wildfires you've been experiencing. About 3 years ago here in Florida, we had a taste of that also, but fortunately the fires stayed away from our area. It is so frightening isn't it? I remember I was out soaking down the roof of our house because of the hot embers falling everywhere. It is truly a scary experience. I thank God that you and your family are alright, now.

I've been going back and forth with med changes. It's been so trying. I went off of the Methadose because of severe sweats, and the dr. thought I may have better luck with Methadone instead of Methadose and I remember several people saying that's the way to go anyway; however, no pharmacy around here has Methadone. They all told me "they don't make methadone anymore" - ??? I find that hard to believe, but that's what all of them said. So... I'm now back on the Oxycontin(which made me sweat too but not as bad), but the dr. decreased my dose from 40 Mg tid to 40mg bid, with Oxy IR tid. I was so afraid of going into horrible withdrawals coming off the meth, but fortunately it went OK. That was a blessing. But the current med therapy ain't working. If you remember, I had been on oxy for 3 years and it worked well, but then I built up that darn tolerance. That's when we tried everything else: duragesic, avinza, etc., and then the morphine pump which I had to have removed - ugh! I am getting regular TPI's which help a little, but not where I've had the surgeries. So, I have an appt on Friday, and will let the dr. know the current regimen isn't working. This dr. WILL NOT (for some strange reason) increase the Oxy above 120 mg per day. I'm real petite, but I can't imagine that being the reason. It's so frustrating! I don't know where he'll take me from here, if anywhere (ha!) but something's gotta give. I really don't want to go on the pump again. It was such a nightmare the first time.

Anyway, enough about me. Boring, boring! I'm so sorry you've had complications with the injections in your leg. Be careful, please dear. You don't need any added problems that's for sure.

Please let me know what you've been up to lately. So good to hear from some of my old friends. Take care and God Bless. Linda
