Hi mdla,
I wouldn't call it "meds", but I have sucessfully treated IBS with alternative methods. The two most important and useful tools I've found are digestive enzymes, and freshly ground flax seed (build up to 2-3 tablespoons).

I have some success with, aloe juice, CharcoCaps (OTC), avoiding wheat and wheat products, and a heating pad.
