Hi, I'm new here. I'm 17 and I have agoraphobia, for those that dont know what that is, its when you cant go places. I'm extremely afraid to go to the doctors. But I have a worse problem than that, I think I have anemia. I feel really sick all the time, and since I dont leave the house, I've been feeling like this everyday for about a year now. I feel weak, nauseated, lightheaded, tired, I feel like I have no energy, I have trouble sleeping, I can barly eat, I've lost soo much weight, and I have these red dots on different places on my body, they look like little blood vessels or something. I feel terrible and I cant stand feeling like this everyday. I've lost all my friends because I feel to bad to have them over. I dont know what to do. Does this sound like anemia? And what can happen if I dont get this treated?? I've been taken multi vitamins high in B12 and iron, but it doesnt seem to be doing much. I want to get help but I cant bring myself to go to the doctor. I'm really scared. Any information anyone could give me would be really great. And if you have any of the same symptoms as me, please tell me so that I know Its not just me, because I feel like I'm going crazy here feeling like this all the time. Thank you so much!

Hello,
My heart goes out to you. You are entirely too young to be suffering so much. Actually your symptoms sound like a number of different things. Anemia is only one possibility. The most important question I have to ask is are you getting help for your argorophobia ? I understand how that can affect your life and that in itself can also affect you physically. It is good that you're taking a multi-vitamin and mineral supplement. Is your appetite okay ? What types of foods are you eating ? Do you have regular bowel movements ? Feel free to e-mail me directly at cathy_hill@b-f.com
I have been using vitamins and herbs for many years to cure my ailments because I don't like or trust doctors either. Write to me when you have time and I'll help you figure this thing out. Don't worry...please try and relax. I'm sure you're fine.
Cathy

Thanks yall. Can I ask yall a question though. What type of stuff do they have to do to find out if your anemic? Do you just go to the doctor and get a check up, and they draw some blood, and thats it, then you leave? or what do you do there? and after you do all that stuff, then what? Do they just perscribe something for you to take and then you get the stuff, and thats it? Or how ofen is it that you have to go back to the doctors?
